Shri. Abhijit Sarkar, Managing Director
Shri Abhijit Sarkar holds a degree in Polymer Engineering and is the Managing Director of Raksha Polycoats Pvt. Ltd. He single-handedly took over the operations following untimely death of his father and transformed the organization within short period. Today Raksha Polycoats Pvt. Ltd. has an organizational strength of 60+ and offices across India. With its current expansion plan in West and the Middle East the company is poised to move to the next level of innovation and industrialization.
Shri Abhijit Sarkar has vast experience of over 30 years in design and development of Rubberized fabric, Inflatables like Boats, Life Jackets, Inflatable Shelters, Inflatable for space requirements etc. Also, he is associated with major Biogas Plant manufacturer for production of unconventional energy which is the need of this hour all over the world.
The organization he spearheads is closely associated with several Research and Development initiatives with some of the country’s premier Defense Research and Development Organizations (DRDO). He has been actively involved in several projects of national interest.
He developed High Altitude Pulmonary Odema (HAPO) bag in association with DEBEL, Bangalore (DRDO lab.). He designed and developed Submarine Escape Suit for Indian Navy with DEBEL, Bangalore. He is associated with the development and production of multipurpose solid wheels for ROVDaksh in association with R&DE (E), Pune. He is also involved in the development and production of “SHUDHIKA” nuclear decontamination kit along with INMAS, New Delhi. Shri Abhijit Sarkar’s role in the development of Satellite Recovery System in association with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and ADRDE, Agra was a feather in his cap. This project made India, 5th country to possess this capacity and paved way for Chandrayan II.
Shri. Abhijit Andurkar, Director (Production)
Shri Abhijit Andurkar is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering. Shri Andurkar has wide and varied experience in the manufacturing of coated fabrics and inflatables. He joined Raksha in 1990. He is a key player in shaping Raksha to its current state. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of the company prior to his appointment as Director.

With his dedicated knowledge of the market he has been able to successfully introduce his partners to new projects and new ventures. He is having a very dynamic company with an in-depth knowledge of the governmental workings and processes needed for securing major contracts.
He has been in business for over 25 years. His primary business was in the trading business of life saving items but using our established contacts he had expanded “Into working with multi-national companies to successfully help them win contracts and tenders from Indian “Shipyards and Indian MOD which were previously unattainable.
